Forgiveness brings peace. As we start to enter into the holiday season old resentments can start to fester. Feelings of guilt can resurface. Let's take time to release any grudges, bitterness, and any toxic thoughts before we reconnect with our traditions and families. Let's find ways to not only forgive others but to forgive ourselves as well. Through practicing twist poses we will wring out the physical body of old stories. Through long held restorative poses we will prepare ourselves to receive in a fresh perspective. This will lower our blood pressure and anxiety, strengthen our immune system, improve self-esteem, as well as aid our rest and digest system. All levels welcome. Props are provided. Space is limited. Book ahead to reserve your space. Yoga in Bay Ridge is located at 9016 4th Ave in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Breathwork is an ancient meditation technique that enables us to let go and connect with our emotional selves. With our heart. With our true selves. Part yogic healing, part Shamanic energy, ALL YOU. Through an active rhythmic breath we discover blocks and move stagnant energy (grief, anger, anxiety, old thought patterns, etc.) without the thinking self getting in the way. This group healing session may be like nothing you've done before! A single session will leave you feeling a deeper connection with your innermost self. It is from there that the healing begins. It can help you increase confidence and diminish anxiety. When you live your life led from the heart, the universe opens up to you. When you heal old wounds love energy fills those lonely spaces. I will be facilitating your self-healing by holding space for you and teaching you how to do this meditation. The portal of the NEW MOON, essential oils and the burning of sage and palo santo will be used all set to a lifting soundtrack! This will aid in your emotional release and help you dig deeper. The group energy reminds us that we are not alone and that the healing journey is one for us all. No experience necessary. You will be lying down on blankets. Dress comfortably. Eye pillows are available or bring your own. Yoga in Bay Ridge is located at 9016 4th Ave in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

The holiday season can leave us starting the new year exhausted and over extended. In this mini-retreat we will explore long held restorative poses to not only rejuvenate ourselves but to reconnect with our quieter selves. Winter is a time of reflection. Let's go within and set our intentions with a clear mind and an open heart. What is Restorative Yoga? Essentially, it is the yin to the yang. It is the quiet inward yoga to the active vinyasa yoga. It is the moon to the sun. A Restorative Yoga practice is about allowing yourself to really relax, to release the muscles, and to take the time to enhance your breathing. We then can fully calm the body, deepen the breath, and quiet the mind. We then can let go of the constant stress response state our bodies have gotten used to being in. This will help you balance your nervous system, it will aid your digestion, and long term health. Yoga experience is not required. Please dress comfortably and bring socks and long sleeve layers. Bring an eye pillow/cover for Savasana if you wish. All props are provided. This workshop will be led with music and candlelight. Online registration is recommended. The Yoga Collective NYC is located at 135 W 29th St. Room 603. Chelsea/ NYC
